The gates of delirium are opening, IZAH is recording again. Expect two misanthropic documents of apocalyptic post-doom to see the dusk in both early and late 2012.

This month we've finished recording a twelve-minute piece entitled "Antagonized" with producers Bart Hennephof (Textures) and Yuma van Eekelen (Pestilence, The NewDominion) at their Final Focus Studio. The song will be released early next year as a split EP with our post-rockin' friends of Fire Walk With Us. Check them out and grab their sexy grooves from their bandcamp!

Furthermore, we're recording our debut full length album as we speak at the Split Second Sound studio with Textures' guitarist/producer Jochem Jacobs. It'll be a while before this is released, we'll keep you posted. In the meantime, prepare for the apocalypse.

Last minute show! As Manatees was forced to cancel their European tour, we'll fill in the spot at the Little Devil this Friday. Be on time to check out the filthy sludge of STARVE as well. Bring your earplugs, we'll bring the doom.

Go have a look and make sure you don't miss the Friday doom explosion with Nadja, Kongh, Herder, Dark Castle, The Secret and the mighty Yob. Happy Incubating!

Essen rocked this weekend! Good shows by all bands, lots of beer and a trip back home resulting in a trail of destruction and a bloodbath to top it off. Good times. Thanks to everyone that showed up and hung out with us. Special thanks to Ansgar, COUGH and Sundowning for being cool and putting up with our crap.
Check out some picture galleries at profilneurotiker.com/.

Due to a problem with the venue's permits our show with Sons of the Patriots at Dadas in Helmond has been cancelled. Balls...

Last Friday we played an awesome gig at the first edition of Deaf Metal Fest. Awesome bands with sign interpreters, an amazing crowd and a great atmosphere. This was definitely one of the most unique experiences we ever had playing shows. Big thanks to the Deaf Metal staff and everyone who came out to make this fest a great success! Check out some impressions of Deaf Metal right here.

The next day we messed up the B52 Club in Belgium. Beer, metal and blood stained guitars. Just the way we like it.

11.11.10
IZAH will bring doom to the deaf. What?! Yes, to the deaf.
We've been asked to participate in an awesome project called Deaf Metal. Venezuelan doom metal army Cultura Tres, Dutch nu-metallers KYU and ourselves will perform for a largely deaf audience on November 19 at the Willemeen in Arnhem.
The music will be complemented by visual music interpreters who will not only translate the lyrics into sign language, but also capture the rhythm and feel of the music into dance and movement. Next to this the venue will have a vibrating rhythm floor and (deaf) VJ-team Dr. Blu will provide a visual interpretation through video images. Read more on Deaf Metal on our Facebook page.
Deaf Metal is of course accessible to everyone, so there's no excuse to miss this unique gig! Be there early though, we'l play at 19:30.
The day after that we'll head for Belgium to cause total shock and awe in the B52 Club in Eernegem together with French industrialists [P.U.T.]. Good times.

17.09.10
This Saturday we'll play at the Intrubate festival in Tilburg. Cool, but what the hell is Intrubate?! As you might suspect by the name, it's the copied/pirated version of the awesome Incubate festival in Tilburg. Since Incubate's central theme this year is piracy in the arts, it seems only right to also have a pirated version of Incubate itself. And whoomp, there it is: www.intrubate.org.

Intrubate will take place during the Incubate weekend from September 17 to 19 at Perron 58 / Zwijsenpand (the place where Hermann Nitsch performed during Incubate 2009). Check out the whole music, arts and other events program here, see the lastfm page here or the flyer here.

We'll be crushing skulls on Saturday September 18 from 18.00 to 18.45, be there...

Ofcourse we'll be checking out all other awesome bands that are playing at Incubate this weekend. Don't know what bands you should go see? See the IZAH guide to Incubate for all things heavy and dark right here!
See you at Incubate!

15.09.10

Last show before taking a break
This Friday we'll be playing our last show before taking a little break. 2010 has been a very eventful year for us so far. We've done lots of big and small shows in the Netherlands and abroad. We thought it would be fun to end the season with a small but furious gig near home: Breda, Groene Sael, Friday, June 2. Be there, shit will hit the fan.
After this we will be scratching our balls and drinking beer in the sun for two months straight. When we'll find some spare time next to this busy schedule, we'll be making some first preparations for our debut full length which we'll be recording later this year. First shows will be in September/October again. Mainly abroad though, so if you still want to catch us in the Netherlands, better be there Friday!
Despite of our inactivity, keep checking our sites this summer. We'll be doing some long overdue updates in the coming weeks. Have a good vacation and see y'all later!
Cheers,
IZAH

Today we head for Germany to bring doom to Leipzig. Together with Swiss post-metallers When Icarus Falls and the botte grindcore harses of Antigama we'll hit the Zoro tonight.
Next up is the Carlo Levi in Liège tomorrow, again with When Icarus Falls.
Both these bands will also play our hometown Tilburg in the next few days. Antigama on Saturday at the Neurotic Deathfest and When Icarus Falls on Tuesday (may 4th) together with local heroes Lomax at the good ol' Little Devil.
Be sure to check out one of these shows!

11.04.10
Check out the live reviews of our show with Mono here (in Dutch only). Also, a good German live review of our show with City of Ships can be found here. Thanks to everyone who came out to these shows and supported us. We had a blast!

Last month's issue of Aardschok (the Netherland's number one metal magazine) featured another review of our gig with Baroness. Check it out right here (English and Dutch).

20.03.10
Last weekend IZAH shook up the south with two gigs in Heerlen and Tilburg. No doubt, Heerlen's Café Bluff must be the smallest bar in the whole damn world, we hardly fit into the place. Too many people packed into a too small space lead to some severe oxygen deficiency, which resulted in IZAH bandmembers starting explosions in the bangbus and looking like this. If you catch him at the Method Man gig @ 013 tonight, try to slap some sense into him... Cool show nevertheless. Big thanks to Jerome and our friends from Ortega.
On sunday IZAH headlined the metal stage at the No Sleep 'Til Burg festival @ 013. Good atmosphere, great bands, and despite of one speakercabinet failing throughout the set, a good review at 3voor12.

18.03.10
Gig with Wolves In The Throne Room in the pocket, woot woot!

01.03.10

IZAH will support legendary Japanese post-rock outfit Mono at the only Dutch show of their upcoming European tour. To those who walk in the trails of the winter storm: get the fuck over there.

24.01.10
A totally sold out and packed venue, Baroness playing after you're done, and tons of naked women in the audience. Although that last thing might have only occurred in our heads, what more does one need? Thanks to everyone who came out to the Baroness gig and supported us, it was jolly good.
Now check what the press thought right here (sorry, Dutch only).

20.01.10
Bad news for all you Bredoomers, the RisingMagma show in MEZZ will be postponed until further notice.

08.01.10
IZAH will support Baroness at the kick-off show of their European tour. January 18th, 013, Tilburg. We'll crush your skull.

04.01.10
Happy new year, blow up stuff and drink more beer.
That being said, on to important business. Today the unfortunate news reached us that our friends in Tank86 are forced to part ways with riffmeister Floris Lambregts due to persistent health issues. This leaves them without a lead guitarist. The search for a worthy replacement has begun, so if you think you have what it takes to handle the six-string hacksaw in Tank86, drop them a line at gitarist at tank86.com.

14.12.09
That was one bone-crushing evening in hometown Tillytown. One muffstuffed Little Devil filled with killer screams, banging heads and doomglooming grooves. Check out a gig report here (in Dutch). We are all bleak, meaningless in the rays of the almighty Light.

06.12.09
Check out a review of the Callisto gig right here (in Dutch).

04.12.09
Tonight we will head up to Gröningen to team up with Finnish doom/progröckers Callisto. Earlier this year their whole European tour was cancelled, so don't miss out on your second chance to see us, Callisto and our highly esteemed colleagues of Simón set a blaze in the northern sky. We joined the Rising Magma family! Rising Magma is a rising pact for heavy bands that aim to 'conquer the world'. In a nutshell it's a "I'll scratch your back you scratch mine" type of thing, wherein everyone tries to organise festivals and gigs for the family throughout different cities and countries.

12.03.09
small website update, added news section, and cleaned up a bit.
